Welcome to SCOA!

We are so excited here at SCOA! Several cool things are happening: 1) Photo of the year contest launched last week, 2) we are in the final throes of a cool mobile phone, Adventure Photographer Contest. Expect the contest the last weekend in March.

Featured Event - River Rafting the Kaweah

2 May 2010 from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM
Open to 18 guests led by TheAdventureSport
We are going to camp, hike and river raft in the Sequoias! Rafting is a one day event. This time of year is perfect for enjoying the outdoors. While there are plenty of places to stay, we have chosen the Kaweah Park Resort group to work with. Our guides are from one of the smaller organizations with roots in Three Rivers. Yep they are our homeboys. So come on out and enjoy the outdoors with SCOA! Sign Up

Featured Event - More Snowbird and Alta

27 March 2010 12:00 AM to 3 April 2010 5:00 PM
Open to 12 guests led by MichaelGat
When most of the country is putting their skis and boards away and moving to other sports, Alta and Snowbird are experiencing some of the best snow of the season and typically have not yet reached peak snowpack! This will be my 25th year skiing these mountains at this time of the year, and there's a good reason. In this unusual microclimate in the Wasatch Mountains, March and April are usually the biggest snow months of the year when you have the greatest chance of experiencing snow unlike any you'll see elsewhere. If that isn't enough, the crowds begin to dissipate after spring break and the mountain is often all yours. Sign Up
