Mid-Week Events Don't forget "The Birth of Big Air" is tonight. Registered SCOA members get in. I recommend taking the Metro if you can make it work for you.
Canyoneers, SCOA is having a series of canyoneering events starting this weekend. The focus is on getting the beginners started and providing more indepth training for the experienced person. The events are posting with the exception 14 August - stay tuned!
Hold on - we got another fire! The Bull Fire is raging near Kernville and our beloved Cannell Plunge is dangerously close.

 BLOG - 27 July 2010 Many of our favorite places are still closed to let Mother Nature do her thing. Mountain bikers have been pushed far and wide to get their 'ride on.' Well we are getting pushed further. This morning the The Porterville Recorder broke another fire - Heat, dry brush fuel Bull Fire to 6,000 acres. I am no expert but due to the terrain, it looks like the Cannell Plunge will be adversely effected.
