Super Cloud

A few weeks ago SCOA member Padora808 posted these pictures from Angeles Nation Forest.  Supercloud to be precise. The photos tell a story, they have a begnning, middle and end - the story the day at supercloud.  We are diggin't the photos because they are cool but also because they highlight, you don't have to go very far to be in the middle of beauty.  Take a look at the terrain - it is steep and challenging.  So yeah, you don't have to travel far to find an adventure.  Where will your next adventure take you? Canyoneering Zion

This past week, we have been taking the time to catch up with the wonderful snaps you have been sending in and posting.  They are amazing!  Make sure you check out Stephen Le's spread from his last Zion adventure.  Rock climbing, canyoneering and an Elvis sighting all in the same weekend.  On an introspective note, take the time to see the ladies in the event.  Yes they are beautiful but they are also lead climbing.  We get many ladies asking where the lady climbers are - well - take a look! River Rafting the Kaweah!

The video is from a raft from last year's Kaweah River Rafting Adventure. 2100 cfs. If you think of 1 cfs as a bowling ball, imagine what 2100 of them every second would look like rolling down the lane. The let in, where we start is intimidating. It is a Class IV+ rapid. As soon as we get in the raft, it is all business. Please do not think you can go out the night before and get 'big', wake up early and make this thing happen comfortably. You will need your physical and mental selves to be functioning 100%.
